[55026] The unverified file L6J1-J2T in familysearch.org includes this note: "It appears Lucy Wardwell of York had only 4 childbirths. She first married her first cousin, Jeremiah Wardwell of York, son of Joseph and Mary ( ) Wardwell, and grandson of Eliakim Wardwell. They named a daughter Mary and a son Joseph. It appears Mary died young, for after Jeremiah died she married widower William Turner in Penobscot (now Castine) and they had a daughter named Mary also, plus a son William, Jr. That daughter Mary married Cyrus Higgins from Hampden, and they named their second son Joseph W, and likely the W is for Wardwell. Joseph W. was 15 when his half sister was born of his mother in her second marriage on 21 May 1792. She likely looked up to him, for there may have been no other siblings alive. Nothing is yet known of William Turner, Jr. b Penobscot 7-3-1794."
