[58625] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 29 January 2025: "Blue Hill - On January 15, 2025, our remarkable, loving, feisty mother Doris Vesta Curtis, also known as 'Dot, Dottie, Gram, and Mimi,' passed away peacefully in the home that she loved, surrounded by family. Dottie was born on February 4, 1940, in Stockton Springs, Maine, to Cora and Lawrence Alley, and grew up in Bucksport, Maine. After her divorce from her first husband Gene Bunten, she re-married and moved to Blue Hill with her husband Bob Curtis. Dottie quickly fell in love with the Blue Hill area and the community. Dottie was predeceased by her parents, Cora and Lawrence Alley; her siblings, Howard Alley, Fred Alley, Doug Alley, and Virgie Alley; her husband, Bob Curtis; and her grandson, Chad Curtis. She is survived by her brother, Robert Alley; sister, Mary Lee Bowden; sister, Becky Alley; and sister and best friend, Shirley Danner. Dottie is also survived by her children, Robbi Bunten, Barry Bunten and his partner, Melanie, Danner Curtis and his wife, Dewey, Robert Curtis and his wife, Jackie, Jon Curtis and his wife, Deanna, and Clint Curtis and his partner, Sarah; her sixteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. In 1969, Dottie and Bob bought a house on the Mountain Road in Blue Hill, renovated it, and raised six kids in that house, along with a few bonus kids that she opened her heart and home to. Dottie had many great loves. Her first and foremost love was her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved her cats, gardening, quilting, knitting sweaters, refinishing furniture, collecting antiques, reading, watching football, and cooking for others. Dottie is famous for her delicious homemade pies and the Icelandic wool sweaters that you can see people wearing in the community this time of year. In 1984, Dottie and Bob bought the Fishnet Restaurant in Blue Hill. She worked cooking and baking at the restaurant for more than 40 years, feeding her family and the community that she loved so much. Even after she retired, and our brother, Clint, took over the restaurant, she continued to love baking delicious desserts for the Fishnet."

Sigurd died in the Battle of Clortarf, Ireland. {For this line see the sometimes unreliable "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons," Carr P. Collins, Jr., Dallas, 1959, pp. 201-02} He is the 7th Earl of Orkney. John S. Wurts, "Magna Charta," p. 2693, states he is "a descendant of Harold, Prince of Rogaland, living A.D. 650, and of Auda the Deep-Minded, wife of Olaf of Dublin, who died in 871.
