[3857] Harold was raised in Grenland, Norway (NOT Greenland), and was made an under-king of Vingulmark, Vestfold and Agdir about 960 by Harald "Bluetooth" (King of Denmark). He was murdered about 995 by foster sister Sigrid Storrada "the Haughty" (she b. ca. 952). Harold and Åsta settled in Viken (the Oslo fjord area), but we do not know if Olaf was born there or elsewhere. Doris Rizza states Martin d. 2 Jan 1811 in Berks Co., PA. - see under 17520 - and had John Leonard, 26 Jun 1756, John, 3 Apr 1758, Mary Catherine, 4 Jun 1760, John Adam, 26 Jul 1762, Anna Elizabeth, 3 Aug 1764, John Jacob, 30 May 1766, Anna Maria, 15 Nov 1768, and Christina, 22 Feb 1772. His will was signed 23 Feb 1810. He served in the War for Independence between 1777 and 1779. He owned land in Tulpehocken Twp. in 1759. http://members.aol.com/rogercubs/stuppoutline.htm reports in 2004 that Martin was b. ca. 1726 in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., PA and d. June 2, 1811 in Berks Co., PA "(also have May 11, 1814)". He is probably the Martin Stupp recognized by the NSSAR as a Patriot (e.g. NSSAR approved application 188818).
