He was the son of Earl R. and Orpha Weimer Davis. He retired from Johnston Industries in 1982 where he was a truck driver. He also has worked at Brookfield Diary as a mechanic, and was owner-operator of his own garage. He was a member of the Transfer Church of God. He liked building picnic tables, woodworking, and farming. His wife, Nancy Lou Briner Davis, whom he married March 31, 1950, preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 1999. He is survived by four daughters, Linda K. Roberts of Tucson, Ariz, Karen Hiney of Wayne, Ohio, Earlene Mowrey of Radnor, Ohio, and Becky Coller of Burghill, Ohio; one son, Mike Davis, with whom he lived, of West Farmington; two sisters, June Murphy and Ruth Rice of Mansfield, Ohio; two brothers, Olin Davis of Owasa, Okla, and Bob Davis of Johnsville, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a twin sister, Mearl Frederick; and a brother, Zane 'Butch' Davis."
