[59186] Nancy's obituary: "Nancy (Kinney) Johnson, 67, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family on April 16, 2025 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born one of fifteen children to Marshall and Alice (Renaud) Kinney on January 30, 1958, in Waite, ME. She spent her early years in Charlotte later moving with her parents and siblings to the family farm in Perry. She attended local schools graduating from Shead High School in 1976 and marrying her husband Seth 'Skip' Johnson shortly after. Together they raised three children and owned a business processing and selling seafood, first out of their home, then to local restaurants and markets throughout New England. In later life she worked in home healthcare where she took great pride and commitment in the care of her patients. Winning the Joyce Gagnon Memorial Award for excellence in long term care in 2014. She always enjoyed a good bet or wager, bingo, horse races, casino, any opportunity to defy the odds. She also spent many cherished hours and days in her vegetable gardens. Above all else, family took priority. She spent her life taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and finally great grandchildren - 'Just get out of the way and I'll do it!' She was predeceased by her parents Marshall and Alice Kinney, an infant daughter Bonnie Gail Johnson, one brother James Kinney, one sister Betty (Kinney) Pottle. Survived by her husband of 49 years Seth 'Skip' Johnson of Perry, her children, Tracy (Randy) Brown, Dennysville, Stacy Johnson, Dennysville, Aaron (Julie) Johnson Rockport. 'Mammy' as she was affectionately known is survived by eight grandchildren, Sierra Johnson (Tyler), Tasha Jarrett, Tyler Noyes (Tayla), Dustin Leighton (Alexis), Greg Jarrett, Kaci Leighton, Seth Johnson (Chloe), Lillian Johnson, and seven great-grandchildren. Parker Jarrett, Bentley Brown, Hunter Brown, Charlotte Johnson, Charleigh Holzworth, Cameron Morrison, Lincoln Morrison. Also survived by 9 brothers and 3 sisters, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who she loved dearly."
[58429] The unverified file K8CX-GM6 in familysearch.org offers: "When Etta May Patten was born on 19 December 1870, in Limestone, Aroostook, Maine, United States, her father, George W. Patten, was 21 and her mother, Emeline Barnes, was 21. She married Alfred P. Leighton about 1890, in Limestone, Aroostook, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. She lived in Caswell, Aroostook, Maine, United States in 1900 and Aroostook, Maine, United States in 1920. She died on 4 October 1947, at the age of 76, and was buried in Limestone, Aroostook, Maine, United States."
