Ramsdell, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 28, 2022, at DECH. She was born on August 15, 1947, in Jonesport, the daughter of the late Alonzo Farnsworth Sr. and Gladys (Saindon) Farnsworth. She was the fifth child out of six brothers and sisters. Raised in Mason's Bay she loved being on the water, lobster-fishing, digging clams or running around Flake Point Bar. She married the love of her life on September 14, 1968, in Jonesport. Together they made their home in Columbia where they raised two sons. Marie was always busy. She worked many jobs throughout the years from shucking clams, packing fish, raking blueberries, picking over cranberries and blueberries, and cleaning homes to name a few. Each year Marie and Paul raised their own vegetable garden as well as beef, pigs, and chickens until Paul's passing in 2003. She enjoyed canning and preserving the vegetables she raised often giving more away than she kept. In her spare time she picked out crabmeat for family and friends as it was in high demand and the BEST around. She loved to cook and bake, always giving a dish to a Town Supper, Church Supper or Benefit dinner. Friends and family never left her house without a donut or cookie. She often said if you left her house hungry it was your own fault. She enjoyed beano, card games, puzzles, singing karaoke and visiting with family and friends, especially her two grandsons who meant the world to her. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherryfield. She is survived by her son, David E. Ramsdell his wife, Melissa, and their two sons, Noah and Griffin of Columbia; sister, Colleen (Farnsworth) Urquhart of Marshfield; brother, Paul Farnsworth Sr. and wife, Jeanne, of Jonesport; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her loving son, Patrick Wayne Ramsdell just 163 days ago. A graveside service will be held in the late Spring of 2023."

Roller, 72, of McAllen, Texas, formerly of Ridgewood Avenue, Alliance, Ohio, died Saturday morning, June 14, at his home, after a five-year illness. Edward was born June 27, 1930, in Loudonville, Ohio, the son of the late John Paul and Florence Claire (Brock) Roller. He was a 1948 graduate of Loudonville High School and he attended Ashland College. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alliance. He worked as a linotype operator at the Loudonville Times, Ashland Times Gazette, the Alliance Review and, eventually, the Akron Beacon Journal. In 1970 he was trained by IBM in computers, working for the Beacon Journal information systems as a senior systems analyst. In 1991 he was nominated for the Knight-Ridder Excellence Award. He was the principal architect for almost every system developed at the Beacon Journal. His program, the IBMFDP, which justified paper tape for linotypes and phototypesetters was used worldwide, and was the heart of hundreds of newspapers data processing operations. He also led a team that developed a PC-based audio response system for sending messages to district managers. Eds philosophy was that systems should meet the users need. Ed retired from the Beacon Journal in January 1992; during his retirement he developed programs for keeping and figuring golf handicaps for his retirement park, Adobe Wells Country Club, in McAllen, Texas. His greatest achievement was being a loving companion to his wife of 53 years, and inspirational role model for his children and grandchildren, who loved him and knew him well. He will always be with them in all their hearts and memories. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Roach) Roller, whom he married April 28, 1950; four sons and their wives, Mark E. and Brenda Roller, Timothy J. and Tori Roller, John D. and Joyce Roller, all of Alliance, and Thomas M. and Heidi Roller of Clearwater, Fla.; his daughter and her husband, Bonnie Lea and Charles Schott of Alliance; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Edward, Faye, Carolyn, Timothy, Brittny, Jamison, Daniel, Charles and Nikki; five great-grandchildren; his brother and his wife, Thomas B. and Debra Glenn of Loudonville; and his sisters, Kathryn Howard of Wooster and Leta Henry of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Roller.

Marjorie H. Hansen, 95, of Rockford, formerly of Freeport, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford.
Born Jan. 15, 1912, in Freeport, she was the daughter of Arthur E. and Helen (Ritzman) Wheeland. Marjorie married Wilbur H. Hansen on Oct. 4, 1951, in Freeport. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 2004.
She was a lifelong resident of Freeport until retiring to Rockford with her husband in 2001. Marjorie resided at River Bluff Nursing Home since July 2006 after suffering a fall in her home.
She was a member of the first graduating class, 1929, of the newly constructed Freeport Senior High School and graduated from University of Illinois in 1933 with a bachelor's degree in education. She was a school teacher in the rural system and Freeport public schools, retiring in 1972.
Marjorie began volunteering at Highland College in the ESL, English as Second Language, program, joining the faculty for 12 years until retiring again in 1994 at age 82.
After marriage to Wilbur, she helped him develop a successful resort called Hansen's Camp on Bowstring Lake in Minnesota, which they owned and operated together until selling the business in 1972. The resort continues to do business under the name Geiger's Trails End.
She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church in Freeport, where she was active in Rebecca Circle and many other groups within the congregation. Since moving to Rockford in 2001, Spring Creek United Church of Christ has been her church family.
Her memberships also included: 50-year life member of Eastern Star, White Shrine and Scottish Rite Women's Club; life member of Stephenson County Retired Teachers Association, University of Illinois Alumni Association and Stephenson County Historical Society; member of the Elder William Brewster Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, and volunteer at Oakdale Preserve, Freeport Area Church Cooperative, and many other community organizations.
She was a staunch advocate for environmental conservation and recycling, and enjoyed traveling the country, canoeing the Minnesota Boundary Waters, bird watching, gardening and participating in Masonic and White Shrine functions with her beloved husband Wilbur.
Surviving are her daughter, Debra (Mrs. Duane) Phillips, grandson Devin, and granddaughter Rachel, all of Rockford; one nephew, Patrick Marlin of Norris City; and one niece, Amy Whittington of Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sister, Eleanor Marlin; and one nephew, Jon Michael Marlin.
