[18688] George Adam Brecht used "Bright" as his surname. His wife was Maria Catharina Kaufeldt (b. 17 June 1733, d.1798, m. ca. 1754 in Berks Co., PA, daughter of J. Nicolaus Kaufeldt and Anna Grundt according to an unverified Web file). He purchased 170 acres in Beverly Manor, Cugusta Co., VA in May 1767 and was granted land near South Mountain in southern Augusta Co. in 1781 and 1787. He and Catharina attended St. John's Reformed Church in Middlebrook George made his will 14 April 1804 - it was proved 25 June 1805. He is buried in Dutch Hollow Cemetery west of Greenville. The Primary Chronicle records the birth of Sviatoslav "a third son" to Vladimir in 1027. In accordance with the terms of his father's testament, he succeeded in 1054 as Prince of Chernigov, the territory including the land of the Viatichians and Radimichians and the Murom region. He was appointed to succeed his brother Igor in 1060 as Prince of Smolensk. He was forced out of Smolensk to Chernigov by the Kuman [Cumans], but defeated the latter in 1068 and captured their leader. He deposed his elder brother Iziaslav in Kiev in 1073, succeeding as SVIATOSLAV II Grand Prince of Kiev, whereupon he transferred Chernigov to his younger brother Vsevolod. The Primary Chronicle records the death of Sviatoslav son of Yaroslav 27 Dec 1076 'from the cutting of a sore' and his place of burial. m [KILIKIA] von Dithmarschen, daughter of ETHELER von Dithmarschen & his wife Ida von Elsdorf [Braunschweig]. Baumgarten refers to the marriage of '[Kilikia] de Dithmarschen, fille du Comte Etheler' and Sviatoslav II Grand Prince of Kiev, adding that she was a different person from 'da von Stade' who married Sviatoslav´s brother Vladimir (see above). This marriage is also discussed by Bloch. The primary source which confirms her parentage and marriage has not yet been identified." Author of "The Ancient and Honorable Family of Wings" published by Howard Press, Providence, RI. The Wing Family by Beatrice Wing Carroll, 1986 "John Wing was a son of Matthew and Mary Wynge and married Deborah Bachiler, daughter of Rev. Stephen Bachiler. They immgirated to Holland and returned to England in 1630, intending to immigrated with a group to be led by his father-in-law, Rev. Stephen Bachiler, to Massachusetts. John died in England the same year at the age of 46. Deborah and the family immigrated, with her father, to Suagus, Massachusetts in 1632, moving to Sandwich, Massachusetts in 1637.
