[53030] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 12 October 2021: "Sangerville - It is with deep sorrow and much love, that we mourn the passing of Doris (Edgecomb) Hartford of Sangerville, Maine on October 10, 2021, at the age of 92 years. She was born one of nine children in Limestone, Maine and worked very hard in her youth. Doris met Ronald Hartford in seventh grade, and he told everyone that he would marry her one day. When they reconnected at a dance hall in their late teens, their love was kindled. Doris and Ronald were married on Feb. 12, 1949. Together they raised 5 wonderful children and shared 68 loving years in their home in Sangerville. Over the years Doris and Ronald traveled extensively, visiting 49 of the 50 States, many parts of Canada, and even parts of Australia. They built several camps, in Sangerville, on Whetstone Pond, and in PEI, Canada where they loved to entertain their many close friends and their treasured children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Doris loved to cook, and wouldn't let anyone go hungry! But what everyone wanted, at the end of the day, was one of her homemade molasses cookies! Doris' warm heart and quiet, calm nature made her a priceless friend and confidant. She will be dearly missed by her cribbage and dice playing friends, especially her loving neighbor, Michelle. That same gentle heart soothed many babies, her daughters even called her the 'baby whisperer.' Doris remains in the hearts of her surviving children; son, Steven Hartford and wife, Brenda, daughter, Carol Goulette and husband, David, daughter, Cheryl Ruksznis and husband, Frank, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hartford, and daughter-in-law, Linda Hartford; her 11 grandchildren and their spouses, and her 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald; son, Ronnie, and son, Michael; as well as being the last remaining member of her immediate family."
[228] He listed himself as Lawrence Richard Fuller at age 22 on his draft registration during World War I and at that time was employed by the Diebold Safe & Lock Co. in Canton; he states his father is Lawrence T. Fuller. Ancestry.com offers: "Fuller Name Meaning - English: occupational name for a dresser of cloth, Old English fullere (from Latin fullo, with the addition of the English agent suffix). The Middle English successor of this word had also been reinforced by Old French fouleor, foleur, of similar origin. The work of the fuller was to scour and thicken the raw cloth by beating and trampling it in water. This surname is found mostly in southeast England and East Anglia. See also Tucker and Walker. In a few cases the name may be of German origin with the same form and meaning as 1 (from Latin fullare). Americanized version of French Fournier."

[21807] LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File gives his dates and states that he is of Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire, and provides his wife and her father. See "Magna Carta Ancestry," Douglas Richardson (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co.), p. 408. Find A Grave memorial 106778842 offers: "Sir Robert was sent to France in 1445 to receive Margaret of Anjou and escort her to England to become the Queen of King Henry VI. Sir Robert and the Stafford began a feud in 1448 by the killing of Richard Stafford at Coventry. "and when they met to gyder, they fell in handes togyder, and [Sir Robert] smot hym a grette st[r]oke on the hed with hys sord, and Richard with hys dagger hastely went toward hym. And as he stombled, on of Harcourts men smot hum in the bak with a knyfe; men wotte not ho hyt was reddely." May 28th 1448, from the Paston Letters. Sir Robert was pardoned for the event in 1450, still in favor of the Lancastrian government in 1457 but denounced as a Yorkist in 1459. He was granted an annuity of £300 for life by the king for services during the siege at Alnwick, and pension of £20 for life for resisting traitors in Oxfordshire."
