Alanson farmed near Ghent, OH. The Akron Beacon Journal, 24 Oct 1954 p. 59: Services will be at 2 p. m. Monday in the Ghent Church of Christ for Lanson Barker, 97, of. 794 Wye Rd., Ghent, retired farmer and life resident. He died Friday at home after a four-week illness. Burial will be in Bath Cemetery. The Rev. Errett Scott will conduct services. . . . Mr. Barker was a charter; member of the Ghent Church of Christ. He leaves a grandson. Fred J. Barker; three granddaughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Haynes, Mrs. Lois Fulton and Mrs. Charlotte Miller, all of Ghent, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Joy, former Selinsgrove resident and native of Bloomsburg, who died Monday after an illness of 18 months. She was the widow of Albert D. Seiler, Mt. Joy executive and civic leader, who died on a business trip April 20, 1958. In addition to a daughter, four grandchildren and four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Seiler is survived by two nieces in this area, Mrs. Marjorie Mitchell, of Selinsgrove, and Mrs. Horace W. Vought, Middleburg. Her husband, who was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Seiler, of Selinsgrove, operated a hardware store in Selinsgrove about 30 years ago. He moved to Mt. Joy and formed the Seiler Printing Co. which he operated until 1957. At the time of his dealth he was an official of Package Printers, Inc., and the Tripple Machine Co., Mt. Joy. A new elementary school in that community has been named for him."
