[9312] Samuel's ancestry is from the unverified web site of Ray Kohler (rkohler3@comcast.net) as posted in 2004 at Ancestry World Tree. "The Perry County Democrat [New Bloomfield, PA], 3 March 1909," p. 3: "Samuel W. Bixler, a native of this county, died at his home in Carlisle of consumption on Saturday, aged 57 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, daughter of the late Captain Andrew Loy, of Centre, this county, and three children Rev. A. Loy Bixler, of Upton, Mass.; Russell B., of Philadelphia, and Olive N., at home. Mr. Bixler was a salesman for the Weaver Organ and Piano Company. He had been ill since last October. The deceased was a son of the late Jacob Bixler, of Bixler's Mills, this county, and is survived by a brother, Joseph Bixler, of Newport, and a sister, Mrs. John J. Rice, of this place. He was a member of the Methodist church and was a good man."
