"Elizabethville Echo [Elizabethville, Pennsylvania], 06 March 1947," p. 1: "David Hepler, a retired farmer of Mahantongo Valley, died February 26 at the age of 74 years, He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hepler and was a native of Gratz. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Anna Weiss, of Reading; one brother, Andrew, of Valley View; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Minnie Stutzman of Shillington, and Mrs. Grant Otto, of Philadelphia. Services were held from the Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, Sunday afternoon. Rev. H. M. Mentzer, Valley View, officiated and interment was made in the Union Cemetery, Hegins."
