[54556] The unverified file 2WNW-KP3 in familysearch.org offers: "When Roscoe G Bridges was born about 1853, in Maine, United States, his father, Isaac W. Bridges, was 40 and his mother, Margaret Evans, was 35. He lived in Meddybemps, Washington, Maine, United States for about 10 years. He died in Colorado, United States."
[61114] Charles is son of Elisha H. Broad (1845-1888) & Esther Smith Davis (1851-1896). Elisha's grave in the Pine Tree Cemetery has this in Fond A Grave memorial 78755809: "Civil War Service: Enlisted & mustered into active service 26 Dec 1863 to Co. E, 1st Me. Heavy Artillery, Me. Volunteers. He would serve as both a Private & Corporal. At enlistment he was described as a single farmer from Eddington, standing 5' 8.5" with blue eyes & brown hair. He served with this Regiment until Mustered Out & Honorably Discharged on 11 Sep 1865 at Washington, D.C. His brother Charles Franklin Broad was with Company D of this same Regiment. Charles died at the Battle of Petersburg on 18 Jun 1864. It is highly likely there were in the battle together."
[19917] [Hunter.FTW] B.I. Rhodes is Francis' Grandfather.

[58249] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 23 October 2018: "Tremont - Louise Evelyn Lawson, 92, passed away at her home in Seal Cove, Maine, on October 14, 2018, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Louise was born September 12, 1926, in the village of Center in the town of Tremont on Mount Desert Island. She was the first daughter and third child of John (Daddy Johnny) and Verna Foss Hodgdon. Louise attended a two-room schoolhouse in Center for 8 years. She attended Pemetic High School in Southwest Harbor. After graduation in 1944, she went on to attend the Nursing College in Portland. Louise loved school and learning; no challenge was too great for her. Louse married Perry Lawson Jr. of Tremont in 1948. They bought a large home in Manset where they raised their two daughters, Sharon and Shirley. Over the years, they opened their home to many young people who needed a place to stay. They hosted many card parties; and chaperoned many dances and parties for their daughters. Louise loved her home, especially her large gardens, flowers and lawns that she took care of. She and Perry loved boating and spent time on off-shore islands digging for treasures. In the winter they snowmobiled with friends. Perry and Louise both belonged to the Civil Air Patrol out of Trenton Airport. Louise did many things in her life. One of her fondest memories was working at the Asticou Inn in Northeast Harbor as a teenager. Throughout the years she worked at the Underwood Sardine factory in Bass Harbor, cleaned cottages for summer people, worked at Lawson's Electric as bookkeeper. After becoming a certified nurse, she worked at Ellsworth Hospital in the operating room and later worked at Sonogee in Bar Harbor. She travelled to California to visit her daughter, Shirley, and while there worked briefly at an Investment Firm in San Francisco. She returned to Maine and worked in the cafeteria at Mount Desert Island High School for 17 years. This was her favorite job, and she loved the students. She was 83 when she retired. For the last 40 years, she has lived on Hodgdon Pond at the end of Daddy Johnny Road. She loved her home and took pride in telling everyone that all this land belonged to her father. Louise loved the wildlife, which she fed, canoeing and kayaking, skating and cross-country skiing. Louise was also an avid walker, often walking miles at a time with her Aunt Carolyn. She loved picking blueberries and blackberries, and was known for her blackberry Jelly. She had a garden and enjoyed sharing the bounty. She loved walking on beaches looking for driftwood, sea glass and bait bags. She was known around town by her 2004 Subaru Wagon. One of her greatest joys was playing Beano at the Senior Center in Southwest Harbor. Most of all Louise enjoyed being with her family. Louise is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lawson and her partner, Chet Lewis, of Trenton, Shirley Walton and her husband, David, of Southwest Harbor and Fort Myers, FL; her granddaughters, Michelle Belanger and husband, Chad Theriault, of Portland and Danielle Berube and her husband, Ken, of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Julia, Benjamin, Ian, Andrew and Aryanna; and her sister, Anna Reale of CT; and sister-in-law, Lillian Hodgdon of Bernard, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. Thank you to family and friends, especially her sister Anna for supporting and being there for us. A special thank you to hospice group for all of their support. Louise, Mom, Great Gram, was most at peace on the water. She truly enjoyed her daughters, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She had a big heart and gave freely to others."
