"The Perry County Times [New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania]," 3 September 1936, p. 12: "It was with sincere sorrow that the family and many friends of Mrs. Annie Briner Harter, wife of Mr. Roy Harter, learned of her sudden death, which occurred at her summer home near Detroit, Mich., on Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage caused by a blood clot on the brain. She had bec in her usual good health and returned only two weeks ago from a visit to her parental home here. Lately she had complained of headache, and with her little daughter had gone from her home in Detroit to the family's summer cottage near the city. She was stricken on Friday night. The deceased was the eldest daughter of Mr. annd Mrs. Samuel J. Briner, of this place, and was born June 19, 1895. She and Mr. Harter were married on her twenty-second birthday. They took up their residence in Detroit, where Mr. Harter was employed by the Ford Motor Company. She was a member of the Bloomfield Methodist Church and was a woman of lovely character, a good, kind wife and mother and an affectionate daughter and sister, who will be sadly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two children, Richard and Jane, and four sisters and four brothers: Wm. S. Briner, of Bloomfield; Margaret, Mrs. Morris Haney, of Swarthmore; Clair, Mrs. E. P. Flurie, of Detroit; Mary, Mrs. Rodney Reisinger, of Blain; Edna, Leon and Frank, at home, and Paul, of this place. One brother, John, and an infant brother preceded her in death. Her body was brought from Detroit Monday and funeral services were held at the home of her parents on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. L. E. Shaffner, of Duncannon, officiating, and burial was made in the Bloomfield cemetery."

[23875] "The Beaumonts in History, A.D. 850-1850," Edward T. Beaumont, Oxford, England, 1929, typescript at the Bodleian Library, Oxford, pp. 18-19, provides his information. In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/NORMAN%20NOBILITY.htm offers: "Hugh de Beaumont 'Hugo pauper'. His parentage is recorded by Orderic Vitalis. A favourite of King Stephen who gave him the castle and barony of Bedford in 1138, thereby creating him Earl of Bedford. He was ejected from Bedford by the sons of Robert Beauchamp. He appears to have lapsed into poverty and was probably degraded from his peerage. - m --- de Beauchamp, daughter of Simon de Beauchamp . . . ."
