[18932] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galindo_Aznárez_II offers: "Galindo Aznárez II (died 922) was Count of Aragón (893-922), the son and successor of Aznar Galíndez II. Galindo was one of a coalition that sponsored the 905 coup d'état in Pamplona in favor of his brother-in-law, Sancho I of Pamplona. However, he turned on this new king and in 911 attacked him in concert with brother-in-law Muhammad al-Tawil and Abd Allah ibn Lubb ibn Qasi. This coalition was defeated, al-Tawil killed, and Galindo forced to become vassal of Sancho. Galindo was married twice. By his first wife, Acibella Garcés of Gascony, daughter of Count García II Sánchez of Gascony, he had sons Miro and Bishop Redemtus, along with daughter Toda, wife of Hunifred Berna, count of Ribagorza, to whom she brought Sobrarbe. By his second wife, Sancha Garcés of Pamplona, daughter of García Jiménez and sister of Sancho I, he had Velasquita and Andregota Galíndez, who married García Sanchez, king of Pamplona (925-970). He also sired several illegitimate sons: Guntoslo, Sancho, Belasco, Banzo, and Aznar. The first of these, Guntoslo, is apparently the man of this name who would later be count of Aragon, but only as a fully subservient vassal of his brother-in-law the king of Pamplona."

[11462] "Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700," Frederick Lewis Weis (7th edition, with additions and corrections by Walter Lee Sheppard, Jr. (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Company, 1992), line 79, gives the family as shown here. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cousin/html/p407.htm reports "He inherited Great Hormead, Hertfordshire, from his mother, who was heiress of Gilbert de Sanford, Chamberlain at the Queen's Coronation in Hertfordshire, England. He was summoned (from Tendring, Essex) against the Scots, and (from Buckinghamshire) was returned as a knight fit for service and accustomed to arms, though above 60 in 1322. He was presented to the church of Cowesby, Yorkshire as its patron in 1324. He was summoned, by proclamation, to attend the Great Council at Westminster in May 1324.
