[42656] "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, Pennsylvania], 12 July 1933," p. 3: "Lewis E. Garlin, aged 68 years, was found dead in bed at his place of residence on South Carlisle street, this place, Monday of last week. He lived alone in the one side of Mrs. Minnie McKee's house. It was known that he had intended to go on a trip with B. F. Keller and Elmer Myers, and when his neighbor, Mrs. McKee discovered he had not kept this appointment, she and another neighbor, Frank Fetterhoff, forced their way into the house and found Mr. Garlin dead in bed. He had evidently died during the night and Coroner Dr. J. E. Book, who was summoned, decided that death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Garlin was unmarried. He is survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Sarah Garlin, 93, who resides with Mrs. Ira Lightner, at Middlesex, in Cumberland county. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon and burial was in Bloomfleld cemetery."
