[60938] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 25 January 2026: "Addison, Maine - Gloria C. Flaherty, 93, of Addison, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born January 19, 1933, in Harrington, the daughter of Andrew and Flora (Grant) Ramsdell. Gloria is survived by her children, Deborah Pendleton, Linda (John) Blackwood, and Tracy (Ronald) Ramsay; sisters, Lillian Shaw and Marion Plummer; her grandchildren, Matthew (Candy), Aaron, Michelle, Jodi (Derek), Michael (Sandy), James (Amy), Carrie (Sean), Drew (Molly), Taylor, and Anna; as well as many beloved great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Stanley Flaherty; her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Paula; her brother, Andrew Ramsdell Jr.; her sister and brother-in-law, Violet and John Lemay; her sisters, Rosemarie Palmer and Joyce Woodward; her brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Marjorie Ramsdell; and her brothers-in-law, Michael Plummer and Raymond Shaw Jr.. Gloria will also be fondly remembered by very special neighbors, always ready and willing to lend a hand, Robert and Angel Alley. Family was at the center of Gloria's life. She cherished time spent camping and enjoyed summer vacations at the ocean in Rhode Island. She was a devoted wife and mother, who always looked out for those she loved, including extended family members. She delighted in attending school events for her grandchildren and celebrating special occasions with family. Later in life, she especially loved going for car rides - always ready to go before the question was even finished. Gloria worked as a CNA at Marshallin Nursing Home and later in home health care, roles that were deeply meaningful to her. She truly enjoyed caring for others and dedicated her life to helping those in need. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the in-home caregivers and Community Health and Counseling for all their help and support."
