[57152] "The Bangor Daily News [ Bangor, Maine]," 1 May 2009: "Jonesport - Calvert Noel Carver, 78, died peacefully Wednesday, April 29, 2009, surrounded by his loving family, in Machias. He was born Sept. 20, 1930, on Beals Island, son of the late Joel Nelson Carver and Hildredth Myrtle (Alley) Young. Mr. Carver attended and graduated from Winter Harbor High School in 1949. Calvert enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving his country honorably during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved back to Jonesport where he became a lobsterman. He made a living on the ocean working all aspects of the sea with his ultimate love being lobstering. Cal was a member of Downeast Lobstermen's Association, former member of Maine Lobster Association, a former board member of Jonesport Historical Society, a member of American Legion and Jonesport School Board, and a former member of the planning board. He was also known as 'Coach Carver' for coaching the grammar school basketball team. He shared 52 years of marriage with Rosalie (Palmer) Blackwood Carver of Jonesport. In addition to his wife, family members include four sons, Bill Blackwood and his wife, Jane, Randy Blackwood and his wife, Dot, Ronnie Carver and his wife, Lisa, and Stevie Carver and his wife, Sonya; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four siblings, Raymond, Jimmy, Myrtle and Martha; a stepsister, Lee; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Donnie and Lyle. He was also predeceased by many close friends and neighbors."

Find A Grave offers: "Jeanne E. Shreve, 88, of Mansfield, died Monday afternoon, September 20, in Winchester Terrace Nursing Home, Mansfield following an extended illness. Mrs. Shreve was born March 21, 1922 in Loudonville, the daughter of the late O.P. and Edna Mae (Coble) Paullin. She was a 1940 graduate of Loudonville High School, and had been a resident of Mansfield since 1973. On August 8, 1940 she married George W. Shreve and he died April 20, 2010. Mrs. Shreve was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville. She enjoyed journaling, gardening, and traveling throughout the USA with her husband following his retirement.
Jeanne is survived by her son, Gregory A. Shreve of San Pedro, CA; her daughter, Shelley L. Shreve of Mansfield; and 2 sisters, Ruth A. Helbert of Loudonville and Norma McClaran of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers, Harold, Richard, Kenneth and Robert Paullin, and 3 sisters, Marie Wickham, Helen Roach, and Dorothy Stockmon."
