[21518] NEHGS Register in 1871 (p. 148) reports that Nathaniel Rand, son of Robert and Alice, was baptised 3 April 1636 in the First Church, Charlestown, MA, and (p. 90) that Margery, daughter of Robert and Alice, m. Lawrence Dowse of Charlestown, MA. The NEHGS Register July 1883, p. 239, reports the will of Robert Rand of Barham, Co. Suffolk, England 27 Feb 1651, proved 31 March 1651, which includes: "To my son Robert, after my wife's decease, if he do come over, my best feather bed and my best bedstead." - does this indicate that he is father of Robert, now in New England? The Register July 1977 on p. 207 presents a chart of the inhabitants of Charlestown, MA which states that Robert is a husbandman who r. Charlestown in 1635 and in Lynn 1639.
