He was the first town clerk of Bridgewater, and served in that role from 1656 to 1681. Born in Somersetshire England. He became in 1651 an Original Proprietor and Honored Settler in this River. The Clerk of the Plantation. When the town of Bridgewater was Incorporated in 1656He was Elected Constable, the first and only Officer of That year. Town Clerk until his death in 1681. Tradition says He was the first Teacher of Latin in Plymouth Colony."

[61990] Leroy's obituary: "Beals - Leroy William Chandler 63, passed away March 23, 2026, at his home with family and some friends by his side, including his special friend, Anthony Beal. Leroy was a self-employed lobster fisherman and clamdigger since he was 10 years old. He enjoyed going to the Jonseport Marina and visiting our Friend Forever and some friends that werent on our FB page or Group. Leroy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Noreen; two sons, Jeremy William Chandler (Lacey Jones) of Jonesport along with granddaughter, whom he adored, Kinsley Mae Chandler of Milbridge, and Kyle Scott Chandler of Beals; sister, Betty and husband, Michael Dow and their son, Christopher, all of Milbridge; aunt, Mary Hill of Machias; sisters-in-law, Irma Chandler and Joann Carver of Jonesport; cousin, Hazel Chandler of Addison; several other cousins, nephews and nieces. Leroy was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Marie Chandler; brother, Scott Chandler; grandparents, William and Phyllis Chandler; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Rose Gray; several aunts and uncles; in-laws, Lester and Martha Beal; brothers-in-law, Earland and Gerald Beal."

Floyd's obituary is the Topeka State Journal, 5 June 1973, p. 9: " Services will be Wednesday at Popkess Mortuary here for Floyd McKim, 71, a former Kansan, who died Saturday at his home in Grand Island, Neb. following an apparent heart attack. He was born March 26, 1902 at Morrill in Brown County. He formerly was an implement dealer at Nebraska City for 30 years. He lived at Grand Island since 1967. He was a member of Hamlin Lodge No. 185, AF&AM at Hamlin in Brown County.
He was married to the former Lola Mishler. She died in 1961. He then married Mrs. Helen Gakle October 28, 1962 at Omaha, Neb. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Arlin McKim, Rochester, NY. 3 stepsons, a stepdaughter; 4 brothers, Richard McKim and Don McKim, both of Morrill, Gerald McKim, Glendale, Ariz., and Keith McKim, Sacramento, Calif.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cl;eland, Wakeeney, Mrs. Della Griebat, Hiawatha, and Mrs. Lila Nelson, Fort Worth, Tex.; and 9 garndchildren."

Mrs. Tamm was a member of the faculty at Blue Mountain Jointure School in Cressona. She previously taught commercial subjects in the Shenandoah School District. She was a member of the Annunciation BVM Church. Surviving are two sons, Michael and Peter; two sisters and a brother; Mary, wife of Dr. John Brennan, Philadelphia: Mrs. Agnes Levans, Shenandoah, and Albin Meluskey, Philadelphia."

"Republican and Herald [Pottsville, PA], 14 August 1965," p. 7: "The funeral of Mrs. Eileen (Meluskey) Tamm, 116 West Oak street, took place this morning from the Flaherty Funeral Home and was largely attended. A solemn Mass of Requiem was celebrated in the Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah, at 9 o'clock. Celebrant of the Mass was Rev. Joseph Gilooley, pastor of the Church of Epiphany of Philadelphia; Rev. William Shields of the Annunciation parish was deacon; Rev. Andre Meluskey of St. Edward's Church, Shamokin, was sub-deacon. Present in the sanctuary were bishop Bernard Patrick Wall, Bishop of Brentwood, England; His Eminence the Most Rev. Msgr. Francis Brennan, D.D.J.U.D., Dean of the Sacred Rota, Rome, Italy; Msgr. Cornelius V. O'Brien, pastor of the Annunciation parish, Shenandoah. The blessing in church following the Mass was conducted by Father Gilooley, assisted by Father Shields and Father Meluskey. The three priests also officiated at the committal services. Present in the church during the Mass were the children of the fifth and sixth grades of the Annunciation BVM School, as well as nuns of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Order who comprise the teaching staff at the local school. Rosary recitation was conducted by Father Shields last evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers were John and Jerry Levans, Thomas Cantlin, Albert Matunis, Mayor of Shenandoah, Bernard O'Neil, Walter Weston, Robert Thomas, and John Brennan."
