[34565] This person is from the unverified Henrichsen Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2013 which states Isaac m. in 1780 in Greenbriar Rebecca Collins (b. 1760 in Greenbrier, d. in 1806 in Locust Creek, VA). A note in Ancestry.com offers: "From his Rev War pension claim packet: Isaac Hawk was born at Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia, on August 13, 1759, and while living in Hampshire County, Virginia, volunteered March 1, 1777 under Captain Moses Hutton, was stationed at the fort at Wheeling under the command of General Hand and was discharged Sept 1, 1777. On August 10, 1781, he was commissioned Ensign in the Hampshire County, Virginia Militia and on October 8, 1782 he served as Ensign in Captain George Bell's Company, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Nevell's Regiment of Militia, which guarded the commissioners appointed to run the line between the states of Virginia and Pennsylvania and he was discharged November 10, 1782. He lived in Hampshire County, Virginia, until 1794 when he moved to Bath County, Virginia, which was later called Pocahontas County, and he was still living in Pocahontas Count, Virginia, when he was allowed pension on his application executed Sept 3, 1833. Isaac also states his only proof of his birth date is an entry in his father's Bible, that he wasn't in any 'engagements' during his service, but that two of his friends were shot by Indians as he stood a few paces from them."
