[53894] Find A Grave memorial 93209173 offers Morrill's obituary: "Morrill A. 'Bert' Bergeron, 93, formerly of Litchfield, died at his daughter's home in Mars Hill on July 5, 2012, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family. He was born in Manchester, N.H., on Dec. 13, 1918, a son of Joseph C. Bergeron and Louisa E. Girouard Bergeron. He is survived by his daughter, Nan-Elizabeth Bergeron Neal and her husband, William A. Neal Jr.; his granddaughter, Abby J. Sirois, her husband, RJ, and his great-grandson, Ryder, from Orrington; his grandson, Lee A. Reynolds, and his fiancée, Taryn Rand, and his great-granddaughters, Hailie and Lyla, from Litchfield; two stepgrandsons, William J. Neal (Billy from Brewer), and Brian P. Neal from Wales; and his family; and his sister, Evelyn Kelleher, of Cambridge, Mass. Bert and Dickie (Marion Norwood Bergeron, his wife) moved to Litchfield in 1949 to the "camp" and over the years built a beautiful home with many wonderful memories. Bert owned a business on Front Street in Bath (Bert's Appliances) and was an avid golf player at the Bath Country Club, and he and Dickie traveled all over the country on vacations and snowmobiled throughout the state of Maine. Bert served in the Army in World War II in the Pacific front, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion William R. Bold Post 181 in Litchfield. Burial with full military honors will be in Litchfield Plains Cemetery, where he will be beside his wife, Dickie. (Kennebec Journal 7/7/2012)"
[1330] Roger was at Duxbury from 1632 - ref. "Comp. American Gen."; compare "Plymouth Colony, Its History and People, 1620-1691" (1986; p. 260) re: Roger and his supposed brother, Edmond - they were both "say weavers." Roger was from Colchester, Essex, and is mentioned in the Leyden, Holland census 15 Oct 1622 with wife and children Samuel and Sarah. See "Richard Higgins and His Descendants," Katherine Chapin Higgins (1913). NEHGR 85:133-45 deals with William Chandler who arrived at Roxbury, MA about 1637 - no known relation to Roger - and states the surname indicates a maker or seller of candles. "Mayflower Families through Five Generations, Vol. II," edited by Robert M. Sherman (Plymouth, MA: General Society of Mayflower Descendants, 1978), pp. 5-6, states that Roger is the same as "Rogier Kandelaer, batchelor from Colchester, England"), taxed at Plymouth, MA 25 March 1633 and listed as a freeman there in the same year, able to bear arms at Duxbury in 1643, sold land in Duxbury in 1644, and listed among freemen at Duxbury in 1658. In October, 1665 the Plymouth General Court granted 150 acres of land to the three daughters (not named by the Court) of Roger Chandler, deceased.

He was born July 11, 1926, in Blue Hill, the son of Doris (Turner) and Harry M. Leach Sr. He attended Ricker College, was a veteran of World War II, and served in the U.S. Air National Guard as a flight line mechanic at Dow Air Force Base, Bangor, retiring after 32 years. He was the owner of Whispering Pines Campground for nine years, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered at EMMC for several years. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry is survived by his wife, Phyllis Leach of Orrington; three children, Joseph Leach and wife, Linda, of Orland, Cindy Smith and husband, Gregory, of Orrington, Kathryn Smith of Orrington; stepdaughter, Sandra Stolt of Arlington, Va.; grandchildren, Eric Leach, Daniel Leach, Justin Smith, Rebecca Smith, Corey Smith, Andrew Smith; stepgrandson, David Stolt; great-grandchildren, Daerik Leach, Vlad Leach; great-stepgrandchildren, Chelsea Cookson, Cole Cookson, Jordan Stolt, Anna Stolt, Robert Stolt; sister, Doris Adams; brother, Norris Leach; special niece, Bobbi Chase; many friends; several nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his first wife, Marlene (Harp) Leach; and brother, Wallace Leach."
