[24804] Perhaps Anna was b. in Germany. The Burkett's file on Ancestry.com in 2009 states she and Valentine m. 25 April 1757 in the Evangelical Church, Beiber, Germany, and that their first three children were born in Germany. Ancestry.com offers: "Baldauf Name Meaning - South German: from the Germanic personal name Baldolf (bold wolf), altered by folk etymology as if it were a combination of Middle High German bald soon + auf up (earlier uf), and hence taken as a nickname for a rash or intolerant person, quick to judge, or for an early riser."
[39346] Find A Grave Memorial 124414041 offers: "Truman Baldwin was born to Theophilus Baldwin b Nov 27,1735 & Sarah (Strong) Baldwin b Dec 24, 1744. He married Nancy Brett in 1802. Truman descends from British Nobility which will be discussed at a later date."
[42404] This person is from Drew Schmidt's unverified file in 2017 in Ancestry.com

[41889] Hannah is said to have m. (2) about 1870 Jacob Buffington.
[21527] Hugh's dates and his family are discussed in an article posted on the Web at http://members.aol.com/RYouCuz/jackson.htm which also reports: "The Muster Roll of Captain Joseph Chapline of Sharpsburg in the French and Indian War 1757-58 shows that Hugh Jackson received 6 shillings for 6 days. Others, including Robert Jackson, Adam Henthorn and James Henthorn, received the same rate. See Maryland Historical Magazine, 1914, #9, p. 274-279 incl. In 1760 Hugh Jackson Sr. and his son, Robert Jackson Sr., resided in Frederick County, Maryland. This is based on the fact that their signatures appear on a petition shown in the Calender of Maryland State Papers, also known as 'The Black Book #1,' on page 141. This petition is also found in the Archives of Maryland, Volume LVI, pages 502-4. The petition states, "Sundry inhabitants of the Parish of All Saints (Frederick County) to Governor Horatio Sharp and the Upper and Lower Assemblies *** Petition for 3 new levies to build 2 chapels, one below Monocacy ---- 3 previous levies raised enough to repair the church at Frederick Town -- since the two chapels cannot be repaired they will need 120,000 pounds of tobacco in 3 payments 1761, 1762 and 1763 for rebuilding." The signatures included those of Hugh Jackson (Sr.), Robert Jackson (Sr.), James Henthorn, John Henthorn, James Henthorn, yr of John, and others. (A current map shows a town of Monocacy south east of Frederick and a Monocacy River which flows southward to the Potomac River. agm) The above petitioners would have been Hugh Jackson Sr. and his son, Robert Jackson Sr. The other son, Hugh Jr., was only 16 and would not have been a signer in 1760, and David was even younger. The Hugh Jackson Sr. family continued to live in Frederick County as in 1766 Hugh Jackson Sr. and Jr. were among 450 petitioners to Governor Sharpe to call the assembly together for the purpose of issuing bills of credit to pay public creditors. This petition is recorded on page 194 of 'The Black Book #1.' In 1773 Hugh Jackson Sr. apparently lived in the Sharpsburg and Lower Antietam area. This is where he purchased a farm according to his will dated in 1773. The farm was part of a land grant originally made to Joseph Chapline, founder of Sharpsburg. Hugh Jackson's Sr. Will, which I located at the Hall of Records, Annapolis Maryland, was in Washington County Will Book T.S. 1, page 130. The will is dated Sept. 1, 1773. It states that he is a resident of Frederick County, Maryland. (In June 1776 Washington County was erected from Frederick County, hence, when Will was filled on November 7, 1782, he was a resident of Washington County and therefore it is filed under Washington County records. agm) The Will provides that his plantation (farm) was to go to his youngest son, David."

[12224] Find A Grave memorial 83267763 offers: "Conan IV of Penthièvre "the Young" Duke of Brittany was son of Alan the Black, 1st Earl of Richmond and Bertha of Brittany, born after 1137. Grandson of Stephen, Count of Tréguier and Hawise de Guingamp, Conan III of Brittany and Maud, the illegitimate daughter of King Henry I of England. Conan was also the great great grandson of Duke Geoffrey I and great grandson of Eudes of Brittany. Conan was the husband of Margaret de Huntingdon, the daughter of Henry of Scotland and Ada de Warenne and cousin of King Henry I of England. They married in 1160 and had one daughter, Constance, who would marry Geoffrey Plantagenet. He was his mother's heir as the daughter of Duke Conan III, and she was the last member of the Breton House of Cornouaille to reign over Brittany. Conan and his daughter, Constance, would be the last of the Penthièvre dynasty in Brittany. Conan's father died in 1146, his mother in 1156, but his step-father, Odo, the Viscount of Porhoet, denied Conan his ducal throne and rights. Within the year Conan IV was able to capture and imprison Odo, and claim his inheritance. When Geoffrey VI, the Count of Anjou died in 1158, Conan seized Nantes, reuniting his Duchy once again. Then Geoffrey's brother, King Henry II of England, seized Conan's paternal inheritance the Earldom of Richmond, demanding the return of Nantes. Conan and Henry made peace, and Conan married Henry's cousin. The Breton barons rebelled against Conan, King Henry exerted more direct rule of Brittany, forcing Conan to abdicate and give Brittany to his daughter. Once she was married to Geoffrey, she was no longer the Duchess, losing all control to Geoffrey as Duke."
[52643] Jerusha is said to be daughter of John Elliot Snell (1785-1875) & Anna Follett (1791-1863; m 26 December in Winthrop, Kennebec Co., ME).
