Born at Penobscot May 14, 1928, he was the son of Alton and Eleanor (Grindle) Hutchins. Mr. Hutchins was graduated in 1947 from Bucksport High School where he was prominent in athletics. He received his discharge from the U. S. Army on August 1 after serving 16 month in Korea. Surviving are his father, Alton Hutchins; a daughter, Rhonda and a son, Philip; three brothers, Harold, Clyde and John Hutchins; a sister, Brenda; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Harriet Hutchins, all of Bucksport several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews."
