He was born May 9, 1905 at Brooklin, the son of Delmont and Albina (Huff) Carter. A lifelong resident of Brooklin, Earl worked as a migratory farmer and woodsman throughout New England. He spent several summers on the Rockefeller Estate in Bar Harbor as a landscaper and mechanic for the first fleet of Rockefeller vehicles. From there he was commissioned to work on the now famous Carriage Roads of Acadia as a laborer. After his retirement his passion was his garden and his woodpile. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gladys (Cousins) Carter of Brooklin; one son Linwood Carter and his wife, Betty of Brooklin; one daughter, Beatrice A. Spaulding and her husband, Harold of Bangor; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth Carter of Brooklin; six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and five great-great-grand-children. He will be fondly remembered by a special friend, little Sarah, who brought him great joy before his death. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth." [56912] David's obituary: "David Milton Linscott, 75, died July 19, 2012 at his home in Trenton. He was born in Ellsworth, June 27, 1937 the son of Milton A. and Alice M. (Snowman) Linscott. David was a hot rod and antique car enthusiast. He enjoyed drag racing and track racing with his two sons, Greg and Jeff. His pride and joy was his 1938 Chevrolet hot rod. He enjoyed Wednesday nights 'Cruisin' at Jordan's Snack Bar and going for coffee and having conversation with his friends. David drove a bus for the Town of Bar Harbor and the YMCA for many years and worked for the Highway Department. He is survived by his two sons, Gregory Linscott of Northeast Harbor, Jeffrey Linscott and wife Stacie of Seal Harbor; daughter, Susan Linscott of Brewer; grandchildren, Haley Linscott and significant other Asa Jones, Mallory Linscott and significant other Jake Willette, Whitney Linscott, Dylan Linscott and significant other Ashley Urquhart and Harmony, Mickey Phippen, and Benjamin Phippen; two brothers, Ronnie Linscott and wife Patricia of Otis, Roger Linscott and wife Belva of New York; sister, Joyce Barker and husband Gary of Hulls Cove; several nieces, nephews and cousins."

Born July 5, 1916, in Crestline, Ohio, son of the late Ellzie and Emma Brown Weaver, Ernest served in the United States Army during World War II until his honorable discharge on April 1, 1946. A resident of Crestline, Ohio, for several years, he held various employments, including poultry farming, rural mail carrier and owner of a hardware store. In 1980, Ernest moved to Paradise where he continued employment at the Paradise Hardware Store, the D.N.R. Park Service and former owner of Weaver's Sunrise Cottages north of Paradise. He presently was assisting his wife, Lillian, with the publishing of the Whitefish Eagle News. Ernest was a member of Paradise Lutheran Church and member of the Paradise Senior Citizens, which he served as president for several years. He enjoyed staying busy and was active in community affairs. Besides his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen, and sisters, Wilma Plummer and Gertrude Thttle. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, whom he married June 28, 1984, in Paradise; sons, Thomas (Kareen) of Willard, and James (Helen Kaiser) of Galion; grandchildren, Misty, Ryan, Jamie and Staci Weaver; great-granddaughter, Ariel; stepsons, Fred (Marsha) Johnson of Vancouver, Wash., Andrew (Joni) Johnson of St. Ignace, Mich., and John (Shirleann) Johnson of Grand Junction, Colo."
