[60097] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 21 June 2023: "Corinth, Maine - Alvin C. Harvey, 89, died at home peacefully June 20, 2023. He was born June 24, 1933, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Robert T. and Laura (Anderson) Harvey. Al graduated from East Corinth Academy in 1953. From there he enlisted in the U.S. Army and worked as a carpenter stationed in Germany. Once he was out of the military, he continued his work as a carpenter for other businesses. In 1957, he married Thelma M. Nason. In 1958, he started his own company building houses. Al built 40 homes over his career in the industry and also built the Corinth town office in 1973. He was an excellent business man as well as a great neighbor, always looking for the community he served. He was said to always be working even after he retired in 2005. While Al was working, he had Thelma at home, a wonderful, loving mother and wife who took care of their home and their four sons. As well as she tended her extensive flower gardens. She also kept the books for Al over the years as well. Thelma and Al were both extremely hardworking but always made time to spend together and took great care of one another. Al was known to be an avid woodsman, always out ice fishing, hunting or just being out in the woods. He passed this love of the outdoors to his sons, who he would always take along and they never missed the Saturday hunter's breakfast. He also passed his craftsmanship onto them as well as they worked with him over the years. Al also loved tending to his vegetable gardens and raising his chickens, most notably, Softie, who was his favorite. Al is survived by his wife of 66 years, Thelma; son, David Harvey and wife, Linda, and their children; Amy Witham and husband, Rick, and their family; Rick Irvin and wife, Tara, and their family; son, Keith Harvey and wife, Renee and their children; son, Brent Mitchell and his sons, Kyle and Dylan; daughter, Erica Mitchell; daughter, Jody Harvey and significant partner, Arthur Hampton and their son, Dominick Wozniak; daughter, Jamy Parkhurst and husband, Tyler, and their children; Nora, Kate and Fynn; son, Brian Harvey and wife, Brenda, and their children; son, Patrick Allen and wife, Erica, and their daughter, Emerson; daughter, Jessica Harvey and significant other, Sean Collinson, and son, Carl Harvey; son, Aaron Harvey and his children, AJ Harvey, Hilary Carvell and husband, Mark, and their children, Layla and Weston; Ryan Thibodeau Harvey, Kacy Thibodeau Harvey and significant other, Eric Martins, Kylie Thibodeau Harvey and significant other, Jira Rustana.""
