Ethelwulf returned home in 'good health' and died over a year later on 13 January 858. He was buried first at Steyning in Sussex, but was later removed to Winchester." He was the son of Walter de Gant and Maud of Brittany. An uncle, Robert de Gant, was Lord Chancellor for King Stephen.
While still fairly young, Gilbert fought on the side of king Stephen at the Battle of Lincoln in 1141, where he was captured along with the king. He was then compelled to marry Rohese de Clare, daughter of Richard de Clare, 1st Earl of Hertford and Adeliza de Meschines, and a niece of Ranulph de Gernon, 2nd Earl of Chester. In 1149 or 1150 the king made him Earl of Lincoln as a rival to William de Roumare, who had gone over to the side of Empress Matilda. He and Rohese had only one child, a daughter, Alice de Gant, who married Simon II de Senlis, Earl of Huntingdon-Northampton. He founded Rufford Abbey c. 1148 in Nottinghamshire, England."

For 37 years, he was employed at the Union Hardware Co., with his father and brother, and he was former owner of the Union Hardware in Mansfield. Prior to joining the company, he was employed as an architect. He was a member of the Ashland First Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge 151 F and AM, the Scioto Valley Consistory of Columbus, the Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland and the Ashland Shrine Club. He was a charter member of the Ashland Jaycees, the City Planning Commission, the Ohio Hardware Assn., the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the Ashland Country Club and the Young Men's Business Club. He is survived by his wife, Harriet; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Hipp of Ashland; one son, Robert Jr. of cincinnati; one brother, Guy C. of Ashland and four granddaughters. Private services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Denbow-Primm Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Eldon Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery."

He was born April 22, 1922, in Whiting, the son of Willard and Mary (Wright) Look. Shirley spent his working years at the family owned A.M. Canning factory in the shipping department. He is survived by Priscilla, his dearly loved wife of 60 years. Honoring their love of having four children, Ronald, of Whiting, Sheila Griffin (deceased), Isabel Piger and husband, 'Pete', of Williamsville, N.Y. and Clair Day and husband, Wade, of Bucks Harbor. Shirley is also survived by two nephews, who they opened their home to and loved as their own, Malcolm Holmes and wife, Cindy, of East Machias, and Eric Holmes and wife, Jill, of Jonesport; also by two brothers, Anthony of Gardner's Lake and Donald of Holmes Bay; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, special friends, Lawrence and Evelyn Door of Machias, and 'brothers' and 'sisters' in the Lord. Shirley was 'Uncle Shirley' or 'Grandpa' to many and a wonderful example of Christian love to those that knew him." Shirley and Priscilla had four children and raised two of his sisters sons.

[52014] "The Ellsworth American [ Ellsworth, Maine], 6 November 2018": "Southwick, Mass. - Lois W. Walker, 90, passed away peacefully Nov. 2, 2018. Born Nov. 19, 1927, in West Franklin, she was a daughter to the late Virgil and Laura (Williams) Wilbur. She was employed at W.T. Grant and later with Preferred Electronics, both in Westfield. She also traveled back home to Maine during several summers to work at Merrills Blueberries. Lois enjoyed playing cards and bingo, camping and finding a good tag sale. She is survived by her children Linda Corbett and husband, Charles, and Brenda Pulaski and her husband, Steven, all of Southwick; son David Walker and his wife, Anita, of Enfield, Conn.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister Helen Cantor of Maine; and numerous extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David L. Walker Sr."
