[47280] "Reading Times [Reading, Pennsylvania], 26 March 1874," p. 4: "Daniel B. Bucks, a prominent and influential citizen of Lower Heidelberg township, died at his residence in Wernersville on Tuesday morning, aged 51 years. The deceased was proprietor for many years of the Wernersville Hotel, but several years ago retired from active business. He had a beautiful residence in the village, and a portion of his farm, situated at the eastern end of Wernersville, was divided into building lots, in the sale of which and the erection of dwelling houses, he was of late years principally engaged. He was a public spirited citizen, and lent his energies and influence to whatever would be of advautage to his fellow citizens. The deceased was an active Democratic politician, and frequently represented his district in the county conventions of his party. His funeral will take place at ten o'clock on Friday morning. Services and interment at Hain's Church."
