She is survived by one son, Louis Tapley of Southwest Harbor; three daughters, Mrs. Lena Robertson of Blue Hill, Mrs. Frances Freethy of Brooklin, Mrs. Wilma Rodiguez of Williamstown, NJ; 33 grand-children, 30 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Thomas of West Brooksville, Mrs. Burton Conley of Hampden, Mrs. Olson Jordon of Brewer; two brothers, Brainard F. Farnham of Harborside, Samuel Farnham of Vermont; several nieces and nephews."
[11271] Bernhard helped found and was first president of the World Wildlife Fund. He headed the Netherlands' armed forces for the government-in-exile on London and was present at the signing of the German capitulation in Wageningen in 1945. He and his wife and family are buried in the royal crypt of the House of Orange.
