He grew up in Holden, served his country in the Army like his father and made his final home in Orland. Leonard 'Jim,' a jack-of-all-trades, was good hearted and kind to all and held his family close.
Son of Leonard J. and Thelma G. Guptill; and stepmother, Rose; was predeceased by his wife, Ethelyn Belle (Grant); daughter, Thelma Grace (Carter); and sisters, Frances (Coombs), and Roberta (Geneva) Linscott. He is survived by his son, Leonard "Jim" Jr.; sister, Lucille Carretta; as well as his grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim Sr. will be placed with his girls in Bucksport."
