[1589] At the death of Geoffrey II Martel, son of Fulk III, the family lands (Anjou and Touraine) went to Geoffrey's nephews, Geoffrey the Bearded and Fulk IV (who captured his brother Geoffrey and took his lands). Bertrade of Montfort is fourth wife of Fulk IV, and he is her first husband. Fulk IV is known as "The Surly." Fulk IV also m.
