[11806] Walter was Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1423, Justice of the Peace in 1442-43. He m. (2) Alice, heiress of the Stafford Earls of Devon, dead by April 24, 1448, widow of Sir Henry Cheyney and daughter of Sir Humphrey Stafford. Walter's son (by his first, unknown, wife), Sir Walter Talboys, Lord Kyme, knighted Feb. 19, 1461, was beheaded May 26, 1464 (he m. Elizabeth Bonville, dau. of Sir William, Lord Bonville, K.G., and 1st wife Margaret Grey).
