North Brooksville on the west side of the Bagaduce, and from 1794 r. Swans Island, ME for a few years, returning to Brooksville in 1800. His brother William r. Sedgwick, ME by 1768 and in S. Penobscot from 1803 on Johnsons Point where he d. 31 Jan 1820; William m. 16 Feb 1779 at Deer Isle, ME Eunice Howard (1761-1864). Children of both brothers are listed by Snow. Mark E. Honey ("Castine Patriot," 8 July 2004, p. 5) reports that Joshua "was taken prisoner at Majorbigwaduce and was held in irons in Fort George." - and is therefore eligible as a Patriot for DAR and SAR applicants. She was born March 18, 1922, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Jesse and Margaret (Emerton) Murch. Eva attended school in Bangor and Bucksport, graduating from Bucksport High School in 1939. She was a devoted wife and mother and turned her hand in many ways to help support the family. She was especially proud to have worked as a nurse at the Penobscot Nursing Home. Eva is survived by her children, Glenyce and Edward Spaulding and her grandchildren, Flint, Scott, Mark and Robin; Jesse and Dedra Leach and her grandchildren, Peter, Rosanne, Richard and Stuart; Patricia and Sherman Hutchins and her grandchildren, Sherman, Joyce and Allison; Wallace Leach Jr. and grandson, Charles; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Ruth Sherman of Bangor and Winnifred Alley of Bucksport; a half-sister, Patsy Woods of Bucksport; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Murch of Bucksport. She was predeceased by husband, Wallace L. Leach Sr. in 1987; an infant son, Jimmie; a grandson, Jesse Leach Jr.; a sister, Thelma Boothby; a brother, David Murch; a half-brother, Clyde Jerome."
