He retired in 1974 from his duties as caretaker for the Baymeath Cottage. Previous to the 1947 fire, he was the caretaker of the Woodlawns Cottage owned by the William S. Moore family. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Les Gray. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita (Carter) Gray; two sonsl Reginald Gray, Jr. of Houlton and John Gray of Barrington, R.I.; one brother, Clayton Gray of Pennsylvania; one sister, Sylvia Crocker of Lamoine; four grandchildren, Lucas, Kiley, Michelle and Adam. . . . Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bar Harbor."

[48698] Lawrence's obituary from "The Bangor Daily Nws, 15 September 2018": "Sangerville - Larry Haskell, 61, died September 12, 2018, at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born December 7, 1956, in Bangor, a son of Lawrence and Margaret (Cobb) Haskell, Sr. Larry was a graduate of Dexter Regional High School, and attended Casco Bay College. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for five years and was stationed in Guam. After serving, Larry was employed by H. L. Tillson Hardware in Dexter, Maine, where he worked for over 29 years. He loved working with the Dexter community, and was always a friendly face willing to lend advice and expertise. Larry most recently worked as facilities coordinator at Maine Savings Federal Credit Union, and was responsible for 12 facilities from Portland to Milo. Larry was an accomplished golfer and played at many golf courses around the United States with his best friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved spending time at his hunting camp with his family; including his son, brothers-in-law, nephews, son-in-law, and grandkids. Larry was a true friend, in every aspect of the word. Larry could always be counted on by his friends, to help them through a hard time or situation. He helped others in need, or who had fallen on hard times. He was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone, and loved being useful. He adored his two grandchildren dearly, and spent much of his free time with them, exploring, putting away firewood, and giving them lollipops. He never missed their sporting events, and was their biggest fan. Perhaps Larry's largest impact to all who knew him was his unrelenting positive attitude. The situation mattered not. Larry had already made up his mind that he was going to approach every situation with a positive attitude. A smile was something that he always wore, and he was genuinely happy to see good things come to others. Larry lived extremely selflessly, and served all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by anyone who had the privilege of crossing paths with this amazing man. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathy (Mountain) Haskell of Sangerville; a son, Hogan Haskell of Bar Harbor; a daughter, Samantha and husband, Brian Howard, of Sangerville; three sisters, Bonnie and Roy Bagley of Limerick, Patricia and Scott Frazier of Bucksport, Lynn and Jason Bailey of Waterville; two grandchildren, Hilary and Grant Howard; as well as several nieces and nephews."

He was the son of George Kinney, Janice Golding and stepfather, Orville Golding. Born on April 22, 1942, Bob spent most of his childhood in Danforth where he graduated. He eventually settled in his hometown, married his sweetheart, Joyce Pratt Kinney, started a family and labored as a mechanic at the Gulf Station and later Kinney's Garage. He would give a heads up or a friendly reminder in town when a new sticker was needed or tire treads were worn, and he persevered to find solutions to difficult mechanical issues. Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time at East Grand Lake. He was devoted to his faith, which showed in the way he treated people, finding time to stop and talk and help anyone in need. He was genuinely friendly and down to earth. He cared for his church by painting the entire interior himself, ringing the bell to welcome the congregation, plowing, and mowing. He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Daniel Kinney, daughter Susan Kinney Leighton, husband Duke Leighton, grandsons, Brandon Leighton, wife Emily Leighton, and Jacob Leighton, as well as his siblings George Kinney, Beth Stinson, husband, Jimmy Stinson, Connie Swasey, husband Doug Swasey, Jimmy Golding, wife Patti Golding, Ronald Kinney, wife Ursula Kinney, Charlie Kinney, Tina Lessard, husband Ray Lessard, Mittens and many extended family members. Villeneuve, 93, of Springfield died Wednesday evening, May 4, 2011 surrounded by his family in Hadley at Elaine Nursing Home. Vernon, a son of the late Eugene and Annie (Rocheleau) Villeneuve was born in New port, Vermont on November 22, 1917. He attended catholic schools in Newport, Vermont and graduated from Springfield Trade High School. Vernon was a local businessman and 40 year proprietor of A.A. Television in Springfield formerly known as Vernon's Radio and Sound. He resided in Springfield for 70 years and was a longtime communicant and usher at St. Michael's Cathedral. Vernon also resided in Cocoa Beach and Ocala Florida for 19 years and loved to travel and make the annual trips on Memorial Day to Newport, Vermont. Vernon served his country during WWII with the United States Army 54th Armored Infantry Battalion. He saw action in the Rhineland and Ardennes Campaigns and received the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with Two Bronze Service Stars. He was a member and past president of VFW Post 70 of Springfield, and a member of the Springfield Lodge of Elk #61, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Knights of Columbus Council 2212 of West Springfield. In addition to his parents, Vernon was predeceased by his first wife Rosalie (Cardinal) Villeneuve in 1991, two sons, Norman and E. Richard Villeneuve both in 2005, three brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Louise (Nickerson) Grant Villeneuve; a daughter, Shirley R. Brouillette of Portsmouth, NH; a son, Vernon J. Villeneuve of Springfield; four stepchildren, Richard, Stephen, Judy and Carolyn; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Glenn, Lisa, Debbra, Sue-Ann, Richard, Earl, George, Daniel, Sharon, Alan, and Cynthia; 13 great grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachel, Sarah, Gabrielle, Courtney, MacKenzie, Taryn, Courtney, Corey, Matthew, Parker, Ashley, and Rosie; two great great grandchildren, Hunter and Eliana; along with many nieces and nephews."
