She was born in Blue Hill, April 27, 1941, the daughter of Robert and Kathleen (Condon) Astbury. She attended George Stevens Academy where she met her husband, Wayne. They graduated in 1959. Thelma and Wayne were married in 1965. They lived in various towns in Maine and settled in South Blue Hill. They had a son Lance and daughter Heather. Before starting their family, Thelma worked as a medical secretary/assistant for various doctors at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, in the span of 1959-1965. She enjoyed her time teaching nursery school and working in two local day care centers. She owned/operated a second-hand clothing shop and an antique shop. Along with her various jobs she was a gifted seamstress. She was a costumer for local theater groups such as the Grand in Ellsworth, Bangor Community Theater, and the Full Moon Players."

Jackson Brosius, 90, a life-long resident of Rebuck, died at his home on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. A retired carpenter, he was born on Jue 20, 1880, the son of the late Andrew and Lucetta Adams Brosius. Mr. Brosius was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill. He was preceded In death by his wife, the former Sarah Matten, on March 28, 1952 and by a son, Harry, on July 25, 1964. Mr. Brosius is survived by four daughters, Norma, wife of Lee Kauffman of Dornsife; Blanche, wife of Harry Hilbish of Rebuck, with whom he resid ed; Miss Amelia Brosius and Miss Lena Brosius, both of Philadelphia; three sons, Norwood of Jersey Shore, Gilbert of New Cumberland and Boyd of Dornsife: 14 grandchildren: and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1 p.m. from the St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, with the Rev. Paul E. Fisher officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery."

[47278] Find A Grave Memorial 195735636 offers Alton's obituary: "Alton 'Al' W. Faber, 91, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday evening, June 3, 2015, at Country Meadows Care Center. He was born April 24, 1924, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Florence (Simms) Faber. Al was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy as a pilot. He loved flying in the Navy and was able to take part in a Honor Flight from Columbus last summer. His patriotism remained throughout his life and he lived the Navy motto of 'Honor, Courage and Commitment' every day of his life. Al retired from Progressive Insurance, where he worked as a claims adjuster. Not one to sit still, he then went to work at Osgar's Body Shop for almost 20 years, retiring at the age of 86. He also owned and operated a small business selling farming equipment and was a mechanic for several years in his early life. In short, Al could fix anything, and took great pride in doing the job right the first time. He was a member of Amvets Post #26 and the Mansfield Aviation Club. Al married the love of his life, Dolores 'Dee' Harrod and they recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. He was a devoted husband and father and set a wonderful example of what being a 'man' really means. He is survived by his loving wife, Dee Faber; two children, Vicki (Larry) Rose and Greg (Colleen) Faber; three step children, Shelley Hollingsworth, Jamie Voetsch and Tim Frakes; five grandchildren, Tammy, Mike, Wendy, Alexandra and Jessica; seven step grandchildren, Jaysen, Kimberly, Nathan, Stephenie, Kellan, Cory, and Brooke; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Mitzi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eugene Hollingsworth; and sister, Betty Loudon."
