[1522] http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/CHAMPAGNE%20NOBILITY.htm offers: "The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names the two daughters of 'comitissa Maria Campaniensis' as 'Colatiam uxorem comitis Guilelmi Matisconensis et Mariam uxorem comitis Balduini Flandrensis'. The Chronicon Hanoniense records the betrothal in 1179 of 'filia comitis Henrici Maria" and "filium [comitis Flandrie] Theobaldum', the latter presumably being an error for 'Balduinum'. William of Tyre (Continuator) specifies that the sister of Henri II Comte de Champagne was married to comte Baudouin, later emperor of the Latin Empire of Constantinople. The Flandria Generosa names 'Maria sorore Theobaldi Campaniæ comitis' as wife of Count Baudouin. She visited Palestine in 1204 en route to join her husband in Constantinople, received homage from Bohémond IV Prince of Antioch at Acre, but died soon after at Jerusalem. The Flandria Generosa specifies that she died at 'Acharon'. m (Betrothed 1179, 6 Jan 1186) Baudouin de Flandre, son of Baudouin V Comte de Hainaut [Baudouin VIII Count of Flanders] & his wife Marguerite Ctss of Flanders (Jul 1171-in prison in Bulgaria 11 Jun 1205). He succeeded his mother in 1194 as Baudouin IX Count of Flanders, and his father in 1195 as Baudouin VI Comte de Hainaut. He was crowned as Baudouin I Emperor of Constantinople 16 May 1204." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_of_Champagne.
[12089] Robert was "lord of Thorngate Castle in the city of Lincoln, and of Wickhambreux, Kent, Grinston, co. Nottingham, and South Carlton, Thurlby, Eagle and Skellingthorpe, co. Lincoln, s. Osbert de Condet (or Cundy), d. by 1130, lord of Wickhambreux, Kent, Grimston, co. Nottingham, and South Calrton, Eagle and Skellingthorpe, co. Lincoln, by Adelaide, dau. and h. William de Chesney, lord of Caenby and Glentham, co. Lincoln." - "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992 - 7th ed.), pp. 117-8. David Thaler's web site at http://www.armidalesoftware.com/issue/full/Thaler_879_main.html states Robert is son of Osbert de Condet, born between 976 and 1127, died before 1130; he married (II-2) Adelaide de Chesney, daughter of William Chesney.
