George m. (2) 29 August 1741 Elizabeth Webber (a widow). George had 12 children. Mike Stafford (12580 Havelock Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90066) shared in 2002 that George is son of Sylvester Stover and Elizabeth Norton - based on strong circumstantial evidence. Mike provided this genealogy: From the New England Historical and Genealogical Register 1931 Vol LXXXV Pages 302-303: George Stover (Sylvester), of York, Me., yeoman, born about 1668 (according to a deposition dated at York, 12 Apr 1748, in which, as yeaoman, he gives his residence as York in the County of York, and his age as upward of eighty years (York Deeds, Vol 26, fo. 265)), died bet 12 Apr 1748 and 2 Apr 1753, when his will was proved: Me married first Abigail Elwell, daughter of Capt. Isaac Elwell of Gloucester, Mass: and secondly (intention recorded at York, 29 Aug 1741) Elizabeth Webber, widow of Samuel Webber. During the Indian wars of 1688-1712 he moved his family from danger and lived at Gloucester, Mass., and the births of eight of his children are recorded there. Two more children are recorded at York, whither he returned after the peoace of 1712, and the birth of one son, Joesph, mentioned in his will as an "elder son" is not recorded in either place.

[43739] Find A Grave memorial 29584054 offers: "Jacob Wachtel was the son of Henry (Heinrich) Wachtel, Sr and his wife Catherine. He was the third of 12 children. His parents moved frequently, starting off in Pennsylvania, and then settling in Virginia and Ohio, before ending up in Illinois. Jacob was a farmer and located on what was known as the Ball Farm in Ohio. After making several purchases of land, he settled near Mohicanville. He married twice, first to Mary Loop in Ashland County, Ohio in 1821. They had three children - Jacob Jr. (1824 - 1850) who married Hettie Hulbert, Catherine (abt 1826 - bef 1889) who married John Maurer, and Henry (1829 - 1889) who married Mary Sarah Hulbert. Jacob's wife Mary must have died sometime in 1829. He then married Elizabeth Riddle. They had twins in 1834 - Elizabeth Ellen and John Rigdon. Jacob and his wife Elizabeth were among the founders of the Church of Christ in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio on July 26, 1835."
