[29164] "The Perry County Democrat [Bloonfield, PA], 30 January 1907," p. 3: "Mrs. Mary Hartman, the oldest person in Saville township, died of old age at her home near Saville, Thursday of last week, the 24th inst., aged 92 years, month and 20 days. Her maiden name was Mary Kell and she was a daughter of Henry Kell, deceased, a resident of Ickesburg. She was born December 4, 1814, and was one of a family of twelve children. She was married to Henry Hartman, deceased. They had six children, three of whom survive, namely: Henry Hartman, of Elliottsburg; Mrs. Conrad Rice, of Saville. and Mrs. William J. Rice, of Ickesburg. Three children, John, William and Mrs. Mary Garber, are dead. Mrs. Hartman is survived by thirty-two grandchildren, sixty-four great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was an aunt of County Treasurer D. C. Kell, of this place. Grandmother Hartman, as she was familiarly known, was a member of the Reformed church from her early youth, and was a true, good, christian woman. She was beloved by everybody and her death is sincerely mourned."
