He died in 1840, in Berlin, Coos, New Hampshire, United States, at the age of 58."
[58794] Jane's obituary: "Lincoln, Jane L. Edgecomb, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. Jane was born in Lincoln, ME., on October 29, 1939, the daughter of Alvin H. and Hazel (Bethune) Lindsay. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1959. Jane spent 51 years as a beautician in the community and she was thankful to all her customers/friends for their loyalty and friendship. Janes biggest hobby was knitting and crocheting, making hundreds of mittens, hats, scarves, baby blankets, and baby sets, donating much of her work for children in need. She was a very generous person. Her second favorite hobby was shopping, 'Oh did she love to shop'. She loved to cook and give to family and friends. Jane had a love for all animals, especially cats. Before going to Beauty School in 1971 she worked at a local grocer. After her daughter was born, she lived in Connecticut for a time. She is survived by her daughter Jamie Madore of Albuquerque, N.M., brother Roderick Lindsay and his wife Elizabeth of Linneus, brother David Lindsay and his wife Deb of West Enfield, and sister Janice Helsor of Lincoln, her half sister Mary Ann Morrison and her husband Donnie of Millinocket, two nieces, Gina Lindsay and Katie Morrison, four nephews, Mark (Lorrie) Helsor, Wade (Heather) Helsor, Ryan Lindsay, and Roddy Gene II (Jenna) Lindsay. She is also survived by cousins. She was predeceased by her father and mother, her husband Robert Edgecomb, her husband Hervey Clay, and brother-in-law E. Lawson Helsor."
