She was born December 14, 1943, in Milo, the daughter of Maurice and Dola (Brackett) Mayo. Shirley worked for many years as a dietary aide at Hibbard Nursing Home and Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She enjoyed reading and word searches. Shirley is survived by her son, Scott Cote; daughter, Leeane Cote; granddaughter, Sara Cote; brother, Carl Mayo and his wife, Linda; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Cote; son, Terry Mayo; four brothers, Neal, Ralph, Richard, and Walter Mayo; and two sisters, Pearl Cogswell and Sandra Murano."
