[1215] John and Susan also had Jotham Sewall Archer (13 June 1811, d. 10 Feb 1844), Susan K. Archer (10 June 1813, d. 1899), Elizabeth Archer (30 May 1817, d. 24 Aug 1820) and Amelia ("Emily") Archer (1 Feb 1823, d. 29 Sept 1894) per Roxanne M. Wait [rwait@nemaine.com] (via email 4/99). See "Descendants of Cornelius Cursonwhit." Patricia McCurdy Townsend (see under John Archer, Sr.) reports two additional children for John and Elizabeth: Elizabeth Archer (b. 30 May 1817 in Cherryfield, ME, d. 24 Aug 1820 in Cherryfield) and Amerlia "Emily" Archer (b. 1 Feb 1823 in Cherryfield, d. 29 Sept 1894 in Cherryfield). See "Maine Families in 1790, Vol. 4," Joseph Crook Anderson II and Louis Ware Thurston, editors (Camden, ME: Picton Press, 1994), p. 12. The 1850 census at Cherryfield, ME lists John Archer (age 67, bricklayer, b. in ME) with wife Lucy (age 52, b. in ME) with children Samuel G. (age 30, mason), Harriet (20), Amelia (27) and Direxa E. Dunn (age 19) with Joseph A. Dunn! The 1860 census of Cherryfield lists John and Lucy alone in their household, and next door to his nephew Freeman Archer (age 27), Emily (age 37) and Eliza (age 1). See "Early Narraguagus River Families of Washington County, Maine," Darryl B. Lamson and Leonard F. Tibbetts (Rockport, ME: Picton Press, 2002), p. 15. John served during the War of 1812 according to his pension application ( which records his marriage date with Lucy 1 Jan 1807. He said he served inr Capt. Joseph Adams' Co. in the MA Militia [ME was then still part of MA}).

A file in Ancestry.com in 2014 offers: "Life of Carl Raymond Lowry as Composed by His Wife, Donna Louise Edmunson-Lowry - Written Sometime After 1961:
"Carl Raymond Lowry was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 17, 1897. He later moved to Missouri, Kansas and Oregon, where he lived in Creswell for a time. In 1915, he moved to Rickreall, Oregon. In 1919, after receiving his navy discharge, he came to Springfield, Oregon. With his brother, Sam, he operated the McKenzie Stock Farm, which was owned by W. O. Starbuck, a former neighbor and resident of Iowa.
"On September 24, 1921, Carl married Donna Louise Edmunson of Goshen, Oregon. In less than a year they moved to Goshen and raised hops and later fruit, specializing in cherries. They had one son, Donald James Lowry, and were then living within 1/2 mile of Goshen. Donald James was born on September 17, 1925.
"On August 3, 1947, he married Gail Delores Buss. She was born September 26, 1928, near Lake City, South Dakota. They have one son, Dennis Carl, born on September 5, 1948. Another son, Bruce Allen, was born May 20, 1958. On August 6, 1961, another son was born, Neal Donald. (Since this story was composed, they had one more son, Kevin Daniel, on March 6, 1964.) They lived on a fruit ranch about three miles southwest of Goshen on Dillard Road."
Carl wanted his ashes scattered off the bar at Winchester, OR, but his wishes were overuled after his death by his second wife, so his ashes were interred in a crypt at the Rest Haven Mausoleum, Eugene, OR.
