[46591] "Tampa Bay Times [St. Petersburg, FL], 3 April 1971," p. 24: "Sarasota - Emory Norwood Dunn, 86, former manager of Gasparilla Inn, and cottages in Boca Grande, died Thursday (April 1, 1971). Mr. Dunn who lived at 1900 Ben Franklin Drive, Sarasota, was a native of Maine and a winter resident here for 40 years. He was the manager of the Gasparilla Inn for 24 years. The inn is located at Boca Grande on an island offshore from Punta Gorda. It was tarpon fishing that led to many notables being housed at the famous Gasparilla Inn. Survivors include his wife, Beth, a son, Richard E., Sarasota, and two grandchildren."
[52705] Andrew is said to be son of Samuel Gould (b. in 1784) & Anna Grover (b. in 1788; m. 26 November 1805 in Cumberland, Cumberland Co., ME).
[29468] This line is from Gary Tague's posting in 2009 in http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com which provides Andrew's ancestry and offers: "About 1772 Andrew migrated with his parents and brothers and sisters to the Uwharrie, in North Carolina, Here he contributed heavily to the militia and was known as a patriot. Because of heavy 1795 and 1798 floods, and the slavery question, on September 20, 1802, he took his family to the northwest territory (later Ohio) and, in 1806, on to the White- water River in Indiana, where he was one of the first settlers of Richmond. Andrew is said to have had upward of a hundred descendants at his death on 12-29-1834. Andrew and Elizabrth are buried in the Bulla-Hoover cemetery, Richmond, Indiana. His son, Henry, wrote: 'My father was a man zealous in his attachment to Society of Friends. He rode many miles as a pilot to traveling preachers in wilderness, , , , He was moderate in his desire after this world's wealth, My mother, , , was no bigot; she looked upon different sects as belonging to her Heavenly Father's great family, , , .They have passed away and their children would do well to walk even as they walked.'"
[58596] Jessie is said to be daughter of Angus McCormack & Jessie Mclellan. She and Ernest had Alice Louisa Grindal (1901-1981), George Raymond Grindal (1902-1957), Charles Truman Grindal (1904-1966) & Jessie Sarah Stella Grindal (1906-1998).
