[52167] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 2 December 2019": "Lamoine - Philip E. Sargent, 86, passed away peacefully on Nov. 26, 2019. Philip was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Blue Hill, the son of Elwin and Ellen (Sargent) Sargent. After graduating from Winter Harbor High School, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served on the USS New Jersey and USS DeMoine in the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked a variety of jobs including Hinckleys, Philips 66 and a long career working for the Maine School System at Lamoine Grammar and MDI High School driving school buses and doing custodial work. His final job before retirement was with the Island Explorer. Philip was the chief for the Lamoine Volunteer Fire Department as well as the constable for the town for many years. In his childrens early years, he and Beulah were leaders of the Lamoine 4-H Club. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beulah Ann (Carter) Sargent. Together they had five children; two daughters, Elizabeth 'Tiz' Beaulieu and Lori Cross, both of Bangor; three sons, Leon Sargent and his wife, Nancy, Philip 'Tiger' L. Sargent and his wife, Misti, and Adam Sargent and his wife, Jennifer, all of Lamoine; two stepsisters, Ruth Foster and Pat 'Tete' Forrest; 10 grandchildren, Sara, Victoria, Austin, Joshua, Alison, Emily, Ian, Katera, Tobius and Oliver; two great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Liam. Philip was predeceased by his brother Clyde Sargent and two grandchildren, Jessica and Philip Beaulieu."

[41560] "The Selinsgrove Times-Tribune, 10 January 1929," p. 5: "Port Trevorton - Augustus Troutman, retired merchant of Port Trevorton, passed away at his late residence Thursday evening, January 3rd, at the age of 84 years. He was married to Priscilla Ebright on December 22. 1867. Sixty-one years of wedded life was ended by his demise. In 1899, Mr. Troutman built the store and dwelling now occupied by Jere G. Snyder, where he conducted a general store for seventeen years, retiring from business about thirteen years ago. He was the second oldest of a family of eleven children, five of whom are still living: Mrs. Louisa Romberger, of Williamstown; Mrs. Ida Raudenbush and Mrs. Jennie Derrick, of Herndon; Mrs. Agnes Rine, of Goihenberg, Nebraska, and William Troutman, of Freeburg. Three children also survive: George Troutman, of Port Trevorton, Mrs. Estella Beale, of Lcmoyne, and Miss Kathryn, at home. Four grandchildren and three great-grand children also survive. He was an active member of the Evangelical Church for 61 years."
