[568] William was buried 31 March 1254; one account states that he died at Evington, near Leicester, and another that he died at St. Neots, County Huntingdon. His first wife is Sibyl Marshall (who died). Burke {"Dormant Peerages," London, 1883, p.197} states that "His lordship, who from his youth had been a martyr to the gout, and in consequence, obliged to be drawn from place to place in a chariot, lost his life by being thrown, through the heedlessness of his driver, over the bridge of St. Neots, co. Huntingdon, in 1254." By Margaret he also had Joan (m. Thomas, Lord Berkeley) and Agnes (m. Robert de Muscegros, Lord of Deerhurst). William, 5th Earl of Derby, accompanied the King to France in 1230 and was constable of Bolsover Castle 28 Feb 1235 to 3 July 1236. See The Complete Peerage, vol. She married Ebenezer Prescott on 24 December 1771, in Kensington, Rockingham, New Hampshire, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 1 June 1800, at the age of 50, and was buried in Bean Cemetery, Raymond, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States."

[56132] Frederick's obituary: "Steuben - Frederick H. Leighton, 77, died unexpectedly February 10, 2024, at his home. He was born February 20, 1946, in Milbridge, the son of Joseph S. and Pearl B. (Parker) Leighton. Fred served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as well as he later served in the reserves. He spent his career as a truck driver for many years. He will be greatly missed by his friends and work family at Harold MacQuinns, Ellsworth. On December 4, 1971, Fred married Dorea L. (Alley). They built their life together and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Fred also spent time building mini fishing boat models. Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Dorea; daughter, Angel Willey, and husband Ken; son, Joseph Leighton and wife Jenn; mother-in-law, Rose Bell; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Caitlyn, Alexis, Kendra, Autumn and Jessica; seven great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; a special feline Poppy. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings Donald, Sylvia, and Elaine, along with his feline friend 'Bratt'."
