"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 3 April 1948," p. 6: "Carl Mutchler, 48, farmer west of Loudonville for a number of years, died last night in Gambier after a brief illness. A life resident of the Loudonville area, Mr. Mutchler was a member of the Zion Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife, Mabel; four sons. Lawrence of Fredericktown; Ralph of Ashland; and Kenneth and Robert of Loudonville; five daughters, Miss Virginia, Clara Jane and Marian, Mrs. Lucille Paullin, and Mrs. Florence Rodriguez, all of Loudonville; his mother, Mrs. Susan Mutchler; and two brothers, Clarence and Leo, of Loudonville."
