She was born Jan. 27, 1900, in Richland County to Silas and Ida Faulkner Chew and lived in the area since 1930. Mrs. Richey was a homemaker. Surviving are two sons, Gaylord Richey of Ashland and Ronald Richey of Galion; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Noma Jeager of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon G. Richey, in 1969, and two sons, Raymond, in 1992, and Dale, in 1993."

Nicholas was a shipwright at Kittery, Maine, purchased land east of Spruce Creek in 1672 (Week's Point) where his house was burned in an Indian raid, and was Constable in 1673 and Grand Juror several years - "Gen. Dict. of ME & NH," p. 733.

The first book is "Genealogy of the Family of George Weekes of Dorechester, MA.1635 - 1650: with some information in regard to other families of the name: especially, Thomas, of Huntington, L.I. and Nathaniel, of Falmouth and Harwick, MA,". By Robert D. Weeks, published 1885 by press of L.J. Hardham, Newark, N.J. The second book is "Genealogy of the
Family of George Weekes of Dorchester, MA. Part II," published by the same author, and press, in 1892. This book makes corrections and additions to the main book. They can be purchased from the New England Historic Genealogical Society in Boston, Mass. The main book is item #P3-59000 for $75.00, Part II item # P3-59025 for $36.00.:
"William, at Portsmouth, testified, July 21, 1647 that he was 45 years old or thereabouts. He may have been a brother of Leonard. The Weekses of Kittery, Me. are thought to be his descendants; He may have been the ancestor of some of the Maine families whose line has not been traced. (by author Robert D. Weeks)."

"At Kittery, Me. 1715-1737, were Joseph, (w. Mary, sons Benjamin, Nicholas, Abraham), Samuel, Joseph, Jr. (w. Sarah). These are supposed to be of the family of William, of Portsmouth."
"Leonard, b. in England in 1635; settled in Portsmouth, N.H. where land was granted him in 1656; m. about 1667, Mary, d. of Dea. Samuel Haines (a descendant in the male line from Robert, Earl of Cornwall, brother of William the Conqueror), who settled at Winnicut (now Greenland) in 1667. Leonard had children- John, 1668; Samuel ("Capt"), 1670 (m. his cousin Elinor Haines): Joseph, 1672; Joshua, 1674; Mary, 1676; Johnathan; and by his second wife Elizabeth, he had Margaret and Sarah, twins, 1679. He d.1707. His descendants are numerous in N.H. and Maine; still there are families in both these states whose connection with him has not been traced. (by author R.D.W.)(see my footnote).
