She was survived by a brother, Paul, and sisters Mabel (Shank) and Evelyn (Kropf), as well as her children and their spouses and children, and her 18 great-grandchildren. Her ancestry is from "Talvacchio Family Genealogy" by John Talvacchio at http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com in 2008 (not verified). The January 1920 federal census in Wayne Twp., Wayne Co., OH lists her in the household of an uncle.
Akron Beacon Journal (OH) - 4 February 1996: Zelda Mary (Hilty) Briner, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 1, 1996. She lived most of her life in Brimfield, was a member of The Chapel on Fir Hill and retired from Akron General Hospital in 1974. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dayton H., she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Jane; daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Harold Sandusky and Twyla and John Roman; grandchildren, Connie, Gail, Dixie, Julie, Wallace, Melissa, Lisa and Sharyl; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Paul Hilty, and sisters, Mabel Shank and Evelyn Kropf. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and many friends for her generosity and many acts of kindness. Those who knew her remember a 'feisty little lady' who spoke up for that which she believed was right. She was an inspiration as she shared her faith in God with those whose lives she touched. . . . Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown.

He was a faithful husband to our mom for 52 years, who he certainly missed these past 3 years since her death. He loved all his family and was a wonderful grampy and great grampy. He was born 8-28-1931 in Presque Isle, the son of George and Evelyn (McEntee) Leach. He graduated from Presque Isle High School and lived in Easton most of his adult life, living in Mars Hill the last year. Dad worked on the Merle Lamoreau Sr. farm, Easton and then ACAP until his retirement. He made friends easily and had many friends throughout Maine. His joys included, church, fishing. fiddleheading, gardening. cooking for family and friends, helping others, visits from all, especially the little ones. Dad will be missed but not forgotten by his 4 sons, Alfred and his wife Jackie of Presque Isle, Rodney and his Barbara of Washburn, Paul and his wife Peggy of West Gardiner and Kelly and partner Sarah of Lewiston, a special daughter, Karla Madore and her husband Ronald of Buxton, 7 granddaughters, 5 great grandsons, 6 great granddaughters, 2 brothers, George and his wife Marjorie and Darrell and his wife Mary of Presque Isle, 2 sisters, Christine of Presque Isle and Evely and her husband Ronald of Florida. He was predeceased by a brother, Merle and a sister Phyllis."
