He was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. Mr. Hancock was a member of First Lutheran Church, a charter member of the Shelby Jaycees and a former member of the Shelby Rotary Club. Surviving are his wife, Helen; two sons, Scott and John, both of Shelby; one granddaughter; three sisters, Betty Krumlaw and Caroline Fisher, both of Ashland, and Louise Donley of Baltimore, Md. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister."
