He was a member of the Mansfield Shrine Club, 32nd degree Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Canton Consistory, Baku Grotto Mansfield, Al Koran Temple, Cleveland, Master Mason-Lodge 544 of Shiloh, Richland County Scottish Rite Association, Angelus Chapter 322, Order of the Eastern Star and the First Lutheran Church, Shelby. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mary Alice (White) Dunn; one son, Albert C. Dunn and one daughter, Wendy Dunn, both at home; two stepchildren, Terry and Shelly Adams, both at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Renner; four brothers, Charles, Wadsworth; Ted, Norwalk; Kermit, Des Moines, Iowa, and Terry Lockwood, Mansfield; eight sisters, Mrs. Elaine Miller, New Freeport, Pa., Mrs. Kathleen Rigges, Mansfield, Mrs. Ilene Goodrum, Warner Robins, Ga., Mrs. Joyce Zendegas, Mrs. Sandra Grosswiler, Mrs. Bonnie Becker, and Mrs. Pat Grosswiler, all of Norwalk, Mrs. Jolynn Lockwood, Toledo, Karen Dunn of Madisonburg. Funeral services will be conducted at the Finefrock Funeral Home Saturday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. James Lumadue, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, Shelby. Burial will be in the Fitchville Cemetery."

Julie graduated from Mount Desert Island High School in 1982, received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Maine at Orono in 1993, and her masters in special education in 2001. She began her teaching career at the Surry Elementary School before moving to the Mount Desert Elementary School in Northeast Harbor. She spent the majority of her career at MDES, where she was a first and second grade classroom teacher, then transferred to the role of literacy specialist. She impacted countless young lives, not only by instructing the ABCs, but through teaching them respect and empathy for others. She was a strong advocate for her students, going to great lengths to see they received the services they needed and deserved. She spent the final year of her career as an ed tech at the Connors-Emerson School in Bar Harbor."

Gregg took several graduate courses in education, and worked in media (WFMV-FM, WRFK-FM; co-founder of the Richmond Public Schools production studio), commercial and museum exhibits, and communications infrastructure (the Keystone Building, Health South sites up and down the East coast, the PA CyberStart program). Nancy and Gregg retired early and continued to enjoy travel, home projects (Gregg hardly ever met a project he did not like), gardening, their pets, music and book collecting and seeing old friends."

For over a century they have named all of their primary heirs Friedrich as a testimony to their claim to the Hohenstaufen legacy. This began in 1257 when Albrecht von Wettin and his wife Margaret von Hohenstaufen gave birth to their son Friedrich I, who, upon reaching adulthood named both of his sons Friedrich. His elder son Friedrich died before he did, so the younger Friedrich became Friedrich II upon his death. Friedrich II named his first two sons Friedrich as well, to ensure he was succeeded by a Friedrich. His elder son Friedrich died in infancy, but the younger Friedrich became Friedrich III. Friedrich III also named his first two sons Friedrich, and, like with his own youth, the older Friedrich died in infancy, and his second son became Friedrich IV of Meissen in 1381 upon his (F. III's) death. As the family were the "legitimate" heirs of the Hohenstaufens, they had a few supporters throughout the old Hohenstaufen domains. In 1383, this led to an attempt by Nikolaus von Kues to get Friedrich IV to go to Sicily and attempt to take that throne. With the consent of his mother, Friedrich obliged and set out for Sicily. He was able to capture vast amounts of land and force the unmarried queen in Sicily to not only marry him, but recognize his claims. Shortly after his Sixteenth birthday, he had succeeded in doing what his family had been seeking for since the murder of Konrad V in 1268 -- To have a Wettin reclaim Hohenstaufen territories as the heir to the Hohenstaufen legacy."

[54967] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 19 October 2023: "Sullivan - Lowell 'Junior' Tibbetts Jr., 58, of Sullivan passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at home surrounded by his family after fighting a short battle with cancer. Lowell was born June 2, 1965, in Bangor, son of Lowell Tibbetts Sr. and Charlene Grindle. Junior spent his life on the mud flats making a living digging clams, loving what he did. Junior is survived by his mother Charlene Grindle; children Nicholas Willey, Amanda Crossman, Nena Willey, Cassie Willey, Casey Andrews and twelve grandchildren; brothers Wesley Tibbetts, Steve Pierce; sisters Billie-Jo Torizo and Rita Bunker; stepbrothers Steve Fountaine, Joe Fountaine, Mike Fountaine, Wayne Fountaine and his partner Melissa Earland; and many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was well known and will forever be missed by all who knew him."
