He was born July 6, 1951, in Millinocket, the son of Kenneth and Anne (Moore) Eaton, Sr. Bill grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1970. Bill worked for the town of Millinocket Public Works Department for many years before retiring in the early 1990's. He enjoyed watching westerns, taking trips into Baxter State Park, and raising the devil with the kids. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debra (LeBlond) Eaton; two children, Holly Weeman and her husband, Chris, and Kevin Steeves and his wife, Meagan; four grandchildren, Kaleb, Aidan, Riley, and Jade; two brothers, Richard Eaton and his wife, Linda, and Kenneth Eaton Jr. and his wife, Cassandra; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins."

Born May 10, 1933 in Wyandot County, he was a son of Royal F. Griffin Sr. and Ida Marie (Traxler) Griffin. He married JoAnne (Clinger) Griffin in Marseilles on June 6, 1954 and she survives. Mr. Griffin also is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Larry) Bushey, Galion; and Sharon Calmes, rural Upper Sandusky; a son, Bruce A. (Denise) Griffin, rural Sycamore; a daughter-in-law, Susan Pahl, rural Sycamore; 10 grandchildren, Kelly Calmes, Erica Finnan, Andrea Bushey, Jodi Calmes, Shawn Griffin, Deanna Calmes, Joshua Griffin, Emily Gayheart, Dustin Griffin and Shane Griffin; three great-grandchildren, Ava Finnan, Riley Finnan and Blake Miller; and two sisters, Patricia (Clarence) Coffman, rural Upper Sandusky; and Joanne (Paul) Bailey, Greenville. He also was preceded in death by a son, Rick Griffin, who died Oct. 26, 1990; a grandson, Kyle Griffin; a brother, Royal Griffin Jr.; and two sisters, Virginia Smith and Jane Harmon. For 27 years, Mr. Griffin drove a semi-truck for Freezer Queen, Buffalo, N.Y. He also had a great passion for farming, which he did right up until his passing. He was a member of Smithville United Methodist Church, a 1951 graduate of Sycamore High School and was a member of the Indian Mill Antique Tractor Association. Mr. Griffin loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards, going out to eat and going camping with his family and friends."

This couple's daughter, Desire Vincent, born 18 June 1771 at Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA, married David Wing, b. 20 March 1761/2 at Harwich, Barnstable, MA. David Wing died 19 Nov. 1839 in Cortland County, NY, and is buried at Cortlandville. Desire died 4 Nov. 1842, age 71, and is buried at Cortlandville with David.
David Wing was a descendant of Elder William Brewster of the Mayflower through Brewster's daughter Patience. Patience married Thomas Prence, a governor of Plymouth. Their daughter married into the Freeman family, and a couple of generations down Rebecca Freeman, widow of Joseph Vickery, married John Wing, an ancestor of David."
