Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Duncannon Senior Center, the Red Hat Society, the Duncannon Golden Age and Travel Club, the Duncannon American Legion Auxiliary and a past Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack #64, Duncannon. She attended Christ United Church of Christ, Duncannon. Betty is survived by one son, Benjamin W. Arnold II and his companion Mary Jane; three sisters, Helen Louise Stansfield, Peggy Carl, all of Duncannon, and Doris Kritzer of Dauphin, PA; one brother, James Palmer and his wife Patricia of Halifax, PA; two granddaughters, Nicole M. Calvanelli and her husband Joe of Mechanicsburg, PA and Katelyn R. McCormick and her husband Michael of Enola, PA and two great grandsons, Ayrton J. Calvanelli and Declan N. Calvanelli. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by a brother John Palmer."
